Individual & Group Therapy

space to be fully known

Whether you're navigating a specific challenge or a longer-standing pattern, therapy at Tanglewood gives you a place to slow down, go deeper, and start to understand yourself differently.

Individual therapy at Tanglewood is built around you. Not a diagnosis. Not a symptom checklist. You.

Our therapists bring training in a range of approaches, including somatic therapy, EMDR, and trauma therapy, and integrate them based on what you actually need. Sessions are one-on-one with your provider, and your care evolves with you as your goals shift.

Group therapy offers something individual work can't: the experience of being witnessed by others who are walking similar paths. Groups at Tanglewood are small, structured, and facilitated by trained clinicians. They're not drop-in support meetings. They're a therapeutic container where real work happens.

Who This is For

Individual therapy is a fit for most people, whether you're in a crisis, managing a specific diagnosis, working through relationship patterns, navigating grief, or simply wanting to understand yourself better. Group therapy tends to be especially effective for people working on social connection, shared trauma experiences, or skills-based growth.

What to Expect

Your first session is an intake: your provider will get to know your history, what's brought you in, and what you're hoping for. From there, you'll build a treatment plan together. Most clients meet weekly or biweekly. There's no set endpoint; we'll figure out what's right for you.
